-Is the quilt top clean?
-Are all excess threads clipped?
-Are all seams secured? Please check.
-Has your quilt top been squared on all sides?
-Has your backing fabric been squared on all sides?
-Is the backing at least 4" to 6" larger than the quilt top?
-Is the batting 2-3” larger than the quilt top but not larger than the back? Before you bring your quilt, trim your batting to fit the quilt.
-If you are bringing multiple pieces of batting for 1 quilt, this is what I need:
1) Provide a picture of how the batting is to be laid out including numbers that correspond to numbered notes pinned to the batting
2) I prefer you do NOT sew them together ahead of time
3) All edges must be straight
-Note: Machine quilting shrinks the quilt
-Mark the top edge of all quilt layers with a safety pin so I will be sure to orient them correctly.
-Do not pin or baste the layers together.
-Please stay stitch around the quilt edge if there is a lot of piecework to the outside edges (no border).
-Press your back and the top very carefully and starch it.
-Fold quilt top & backing neatly.
-Fill out the Quilting Worksheet and include with your quilt
